A colorful fall New England wedding

The weather forecast for the day of Stephanie and Rich‘s wedding did not look good: Rainy, cold, windy. Such is fall in New Hampshire. We crossed our fingers and hoped for the best and I silently prayed for good weather the night before. And, as luck would have it, the rain cleared up by noon and you could not have asked for a more beautiful fall day in New England. It was one for the books.

Stephanie and Rich’s wedding was modest but beautiful. Every detail was personal and thought out. They were surrounded by friends and family who’ve been supporting their relationship since they started dating at Merrimack College. Stephanie was the most stunning, sleek and classy bride I’ve ever seen. And Rich, handsome, quite a match for Stephanie.

The two wed at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in downtown Portsmouth and then jumped on a trolly to head to Portsmouth Country Club where guests had happy hour overlooking the golf course and the water while the newly married couple posed for photos. One of my favorite personal details were the centerpieces at the reception. Stephanie spent nearly two years in the Peace Corps in Africa after college and each table represented a native African animal. You’ll have to scroll through to the end of the post to see!

Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. O’Donnell. I am so honored to have been present and a witness of your beautiful day.
