Last summer, I asked Natalie and David to come play in front of my camera to test out some new photo locations. They dressed to the nines and we created some serious sunset magic with these photos. They’re almost all shot on film and I think they turned out beautifully.
This engagement session was a bit of a departure from what I usually do (see: frolicking through the fields at sunset) but I absolutely LOVE how it turned out. It was a cold March day so booking the Lumen Room studio ended up being a really good decision.
Yes, it’s that time of year again for fall family photos and it’s that time of year to start stressing about what to wear. Not only do you have football games, weddings, and holiday parties on the docket but those dang photos you have coming up also merit a *new* outfit, right?! Did you know […]
These two are my last wedding before baby makes his appearance into the world and judging by their engagement session, it’s gonna be a good one! I am obsessed with the teal dress Jill wore for the first part of the session. The wind caught it perfectly, creating beautiful movement in the images! Congrats, you […]
OK, I’m calling this an engagement session because technically Shannon and Micheal were not married when we did the shoot … Though their wedding was just a few hours after! You might remember that I almost didn’t go on an international trip last year but because of this girl’s wedding, we had an amazing opportunity […]
I’ve had so much fun writing about engagement sessions this month for all my blog readers. The hardest thing about engagement sessions — and what I get asked about the MOST from my clients — is deciding what to wear. These are photos you will have for the rest of your life; they’ll live on […]
Trent and Nicole are high school sweethearts and very talented athletes. Both played baseball/softball at UTSA in college and now that they’ve graduated, they’re moving onto the big leagues of marriage (OK, I couldn’t help myself). They are both so laidback and fun to be around. Their session right before Thanksgiving was a breeze! Unfortunately […]
Ohh Pinterest. I have such a love-hate relationship with you. I love how inspiring you can be but I hate how time-wasting you are and how you can set our expectations way too high. Am I alone in this?? OK, I’m being a bit dramatic but I really do love Pinterest for planning your wedding […]
One of my favorite things about being a photographer is being able to travel to new places and see things you wouldn’t normally see. It also means travel back home and I am so glad I was able to go back to New Hampshire for Steph and Rich’s engagement session at The Falls in Hampton […]
At the end of each year, I like to sit down and look at my body of work from the previous 365 days. I love reliving memories of weddings and fun engagement sessions, and I love seeing how I’ve grown in my skills, tried new things, and pushed myself. First up in my series of […]
