This might be one of my favorite editorials to date, especially since it was one of my favorite things to shoot — boudoir! I teamed up with some of my favorite vendors to create this moody winter boudoir editorial at the abandoned Trinity Institute a few hours outside of Dallas. The gray misty day only added to the moodiness of the shoot and it just felt perfect.
The photos were featured on EMBRACE Magazine, a publication dedicated to fine art boudoir, and one of my favorites out there. I love that more and more women are realizing that boudoir does not have to be sleezy pin-up like images. To me, it’s about celebrating feminimity and empowering you rather than making you feel like a PlayBoy bunny. Certainly this is some people’s approach to boudoir but it’s not mine. I prefer artistic, subtle images rather than overtly sexy ones. But that’s just me!
Here are some of my favorites from the shoot. If you’re ever interested in doing a boudoir session, you can find out more information here or you can contact me with questions here.
